Hi, I'm Claire. I'm currently working as a Senior UX Designer at Amazon.
I create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements and the voice of the customer for our Amazon IT team.
I'm an experienced UI/UX designer based in Los Angeles, with a passion for designing intuitive user experiences. In the past, I worked at Lincoln Financial Group, a Fortune 250 company, as a User Experience Designer. My core responsibilities include building prototypes, creating low- and high-fidelity designs, conducting user research, and facilitating usability testing. I am the lead designer on an agile team responsible for consumer facing web and app experiences with monthly users that exceed 500k.
I’m a multi-disciplinary designer with more than 9 years of experience building digital products. I am passionate about taking on complex tasks and transforming them into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use designs. I have a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
I'm an advocate for ethical design, inclusive design and accessibility. I have experience with WCAG 2.1 guidelines and screen reader software (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver). In addition, I participated in a hands-on, on-site accessibility focused training course taught by Knowability, an award-winning leader in accessible information technology.
Previously, I worked as an experience designer at WebLinc, a company that built Workarea, a commerce platform powering both ecommerce and retail experiences. Before that, I studied Advertising and Graphic Design at Chapman University.
In my free time, I like to read, listen to Audible, garden, knit, and travel. I am always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow.
